Loncor Resources Inc. is a Canadian gold exploration company with two major projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Both projects have multiple targets with significant gold potential is areas of known gold occurrence and historic mining. A subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation has an 18% equity stake as well as a technical services agreement with Loncor to accelerate regional exploration of this +20,000 km2 land package. CEO Peter Cowley previously led the exploration teams that delineated Banro Corp's 11 million ounces of gold in the DRC and 17 million ounces of gold at AngloGold Ashanti's Geita mine in Tanzania.
