Upgrading of School facilities at Bafwambaye School, Adumbi
In 2020/21 Loncor completed the restoration of a significant section of the Bafwambaye School, situated at PK47, approximately 8 kilometres from the Adumbi base camp.
Official opening of the Bafwanakengele primary school
The community of Bafwanakengele, together with Loncor Gold and the Loncor Foundation, officially inaugurated the Bafwanakengele Primary School. Built by the Loncor Foundation, the school, which has eight classrooms, a meeting room and principal's office, accommodates over 400 primary students. Among the dignitaries participating in the Official Opening was the Vice Governor of Orientale Province, His Excellency Arama Najiam Israel, the Minister of Education, Mr. Polidor Lakibo and the administrator of Mambassa Territory, Mr. Drakana. Loncor was represented by Fabrice Matheys, General Manager of the Ngayu Project, and Franco Chobohwa, Senior Government Administrative Officer. Shown below is a gallery of photos from the event.
